Community Resource Center’s Domestic Violence Program
In the memory of California Department of Justice Special Agent Supervisor Michiel Hyder, and in her name, the Randy Bolt Memorial Fund provides critical monetary support to Community Resource Center’s (CRC) Domestic Violence Program and services. CRC is the primary provider of social services and domestic violence programs in coastal North San Diego County, impacting more than 8,600 individuals each year, furthering their mission to help neighbors create paths to healthy food, stable homes and safe relationships.
At CRC, survivors escaping domestic violence find safety and healing through their emergency shelter, transitional housing, counseling, Therapeutic Children’s Center, legal advocacy and other supportive services. Additionally, CRC offers Domestic Violence Prevention presentations and trainings to educate adults and youth about the dynamics of abuse, with the mission to prevent abusive relationships. In 2024, 3,042 calls were answered on CRC’s 24-Hour Domestic Violence Hotline, 3,987 people received domestic violence prevention education, and 3,340 counseling sessions provided compassionate care with professional therapists.
