An Organization Established
in Memory of Our Fallen Agents

The Randy Bolt Memorial Fund was established in 1992, prior to the death of California Department of Justice Special Agent Randy Bolt and was renamed in his honor after he passed away. The charity organization was established with the California Department of Justice Special Agents in mind. The Randy Bolt Memorial Fund is a 501(3)(c) charity and a tax-exempt institution that has an established Executive Board. The fund allows us to immediately provide monetary assistance to the surviving family members of Special Agents that are killed on duty. The fund’s purpose is not to serve as a replacement but rather to supplement the source of income of the family members who have been left behind by our unsung heroes.

In the memory of California Department of Justice Special Agent Supervisor Michiel Hyder, and in her name, the Randy Bolt Memorial Fund provides critical monetary support to the Community Resource Center’s Domestic Violence Program and services. CRC is the primary provider of social services and domestic violence programs in coastal North San Diego County, serving more than 6,400 individuals each year.

Families and individuals escaping domestic violence find safety and healing through CRC’s shelter and housing including counseling through the Therapeutic Children’s Center and legal advocacy.

In 2022, 2,790 Calls were answered on the 24-Hour Domestic Violence Hotline. 3,195 people received domestic violence prevention training. Also, the Center provided counseling sessions as well as compassionate care, with guidance and resources to heal.

Throughout each year, we hold various tournaments to remember our fallen special agents and raise money for the benefit of their survivors.
